Dazai Research Instruments originates from the Mouse Imaging Centre (MICe) in Toronto, Canada, a world leading research institute on Multiple-Mouse MR imaging.

Through the development of a Multiple-Mouse Loading and Monitoring System for MRI at MICe, a unique product called the ‘sled' was created to simplify animal preparation and standardize body position during an MR Imaging session.

After years of research and development, the sled was highlighted in a recent publication* and received overwhelming feedback from small-animal researchers around the world. In response, Dazai Research Instruments was established in 2005 to manufacture and distribute the sleds and to help simplify small-animal imaging and research.
